Support Tutors
Our main function as an education business is to give students and parents regular feedback on progress in the subjects of maths and literature independent of schools.
Helping Kids Learn
Since 2005 the Australian Education Company has been committed to developing tailored tutoring programs for primary school and high school students in the subjects of Maths and English. Our unique systems aim to make professional tutoring affordable and effective for Australian families.
In the past many people have indicated that while education is important to them, often a shortage of time , money or resources made it impossible to get the help required with Maths and English for their children.
With this knowledge we began to explore options available today for delivering support to those students who needed help. What we found was rather startling. All of the main stream Tutoring services on offer were in most cases expensive or time consuming.
Traditional one on one tutoring is the most widely recognised. This is when someone comes to the family home for an hour and conducts the lesson. Highly effective, however it can be expensive if more than one hour per week is required. Also there are geographical restraints where by qualified tutors may not live close enough to the student therefore access is not possible.
The more modern approach is tutoring centres. Like a mini classroom students get dropped of once or twice a week by mum or dad for their weekly session. The main challenge parents tell us is finding the time to drop off and pickup students. Also the cost for anything more than one hour per week or multiple children can be prohibitive to families.
Then there is the online Do-it- yourself option. The challenge with such services is the technical knowledge to operate the web sites and print material. Education is a technical area. Parents we spoke to told us they found it difficult to know exactly what to study and its effectiveness. For example, when students are learning difficult concepts in maths and do not understand explanations given by the software or text often they will ask mum or dad. In most cases parents do not have the technical experience with maths to give correct explanations. This can cause further confusion.
While all of these modes for helping students are viable options, at the Australian Education Company we believed that there was a better way. With the advancement of technology, its high use and relative low cost we perceived a simpler solution. A solution that is convenient, affordable and effective, available to all Australian families. The development of such a solution has been our sole purpose at the Australian Education Company over the last 6 years.
